does anybody know if its possible to change the forum colours. Since Christmas I've been losing my sight and find it extremely difficult to read light blue text on an even lighter blue background.

I'm on Prosilver special edition and actual post is black (ish) text on a light blue background.

What style are you on Ed ?

My Mum has very poor sight (macular degeneration - the bad type) and I know how she suffers.

Ive tried the options and this option I’ve tried for you has most contrast and that is a contrast between a deeper blue and grey. To get ther first hit youre user name top right and pick the top option then find the section Ive opened. Prosilver Special Edition seems the best of a bad bunch.

My severe dyslexia varies widely upon colouring you will probably know anyway having worked in education. An amber film of plastic over the screen helps me a little, but not a lot.

For dyslexia its best to have no moving lemnts to the page and definately no arty backgrounds, no paisley no ‘70’s prog rock album cover backgrounds. Just clear easily read text in simple colour against contrast that powers the words forward for youre attention.

My uncle and cousin have the bad Macular Dnereration. I hope that’s not what youre talking about. My cousin told me to eat an orange a day which as I dont have it might help prevent onset, but pointless aparently once you have it. According to her.

Just a thought Ed, have you tried increasing the page size ?

I'm currently on + 175% and it makes reading a lot easier.

I've tried all 4 formats, including pro silver special and all seem as bad as each other.
I currently view at 133%(3 clicks of ctrl +) which is marginally readable at the mo...

my problem, as mentioned, is blue on blue...it just doesn't work for me.

Ah, could you try a bigger monitor ?

When I cast my laptop to my 58" smart TV things are a LOT easier to read.

Does your PC have an accessibility control panel?
You may be able to invert the colours.

Your text will become white on black.

A new perspective. For dyslexia white text is an anathema though. OT , just saying… but otoh its also in need of style consideration.
