Piecoreplayer is ace, Ed you need to play around with the squeezelite settings, some good improvements can be made tweaking the up sampling section

As usual I don't think I explained myself very well Neal...
Been running picoreplayer for a long while now, and played with the squeezelite settings ad nauseum over the years......

what I was trying to say was that I had 'davide of mimic' in my favourites for the last couple of years and it's been working fine......suddenly, yesterday, I selected it and it didn't work....squeezelite couldn't resolve the URL....

I imagined that davide of mimic had upgraded their stream so went in search of a URL that squeezelite could work with...and failed to find one.....so I had a rest to regroup my train of thought and in the meantime listened to what I posted earlier.

or

I suspect that he uses the TuneIn or Onlineradiobox services to make his stream available to more than 3 or 4 users at the same time. I would not want to be responsible for quality of service for a streaming platform.
