That’s a relief. I just didn’t want to be the only one with dodgy DIY speakers.

Don't worry I'm also bringing dodgy DIY speakers.

For a laugh I could also bring a pair of Rogers bookshelfs that my uncle left me, he had a joinery business with a couple of partners and they made them. They have completely no bass.Quite bizarre!

Mike, once you have got the numbers for a table just ring and book, as its been said, it's now called dario's, the number is the same 01302 244442 .
if you get the answerphone just ring again, it took 5 attempts before they answered this morning, but just twice last night !

I'm probably not going to have a full system, just DAC with CD front end.

So I would need to rely on someone's good will to allow me to use their amp & speakers if people would like to hear it.

Are you staying locally on Fri/Sat night ? I thought the golf club was full up.

I just checked Owston Hall, and a room for one night is £168.(Double room only 1 left)

Add a meal at Darios and a few drinks and that's upwards of £200.

That's a bit much for what looks like a chat with two other people.
