Songwriter and producer Thom Bell has passed away. He produced and wrote for The Delfonics, The Detroit Spinners, Stylistics, The O Jays etc etc etc. 
Absolutely one of the most important figures in soul music. The 70’s belonged to Thom Bell. He was just as important in advancing R&B as Berry Gordy. Those Philly soul records still sound great today. Gamble, Huff, Bell and the Sigma Sound studio: The soundtrack of my youth.
