Maybe Ant, I wouldn't know as I'm not in the market and was mainly commenting on its nice condition.

Garrards are 1000s and of the opinion that motor mechanism is not as simple ,well thought out and engineered than the lenco .

Pricing is somewhat of a mystery to me

What is the spec of the 'HMV' model ? Is it like the GL75's or not ?

In that case I'd say you'd be pushed to find anything better for £475 .....

Yes, the HMV I had came with a sprung plinth, had the heavy platter and the preferred metal idler wheel. Never got round to modernising it and sold it onto Dave Brook.

Unless you see me of course, then it could be 1/2 the price as I have an identical one sat in the store
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Many better TT's for that money such as a JVC TT-71 motor unit plus a nice arm could work out the same or a bit cheaper!

But that's a DIY project. What could you buy that you could take home, would look nice in a room, in a retro way, and you could put records on and play them within a few minutes ?
