try as might I can not post pics .
.
I can post a link that will take you to the picture
However if I put the same info in the img box I simply get a blank with the word picture
Previously people have converted the blank to the actual picture for me but I don't know what the did . ..
Can somebody guide me on posting a pic?

I use Imgur, which is similar to Photobucket but still (last time I used it) free.

Every time you have posted, all I have done is removed the img tags as the link is to a web page with a image on it, not an image. Try just including the url in the message.

I'm intrigued...
is it not possible to cut out the middle man and just upload the original photo using attachment function?....it begs the questions:
1. is the photo standard format e.g jpg or png
2. is the photo on your pc DQ?
3. if the answer to the two previous questions is yes then
4. is the pic too large to do a standard upload

I reduce the size of the picture to <100KB and can directly upload from Android, iOS and Macintosh.

I've managed to open the image in another tab, from Google photos, but the URL does not contain an image file name (filename.extension).
However it displays (?)

Obviously Google don't want to make it easy!

this may or not be of use, and I may be trying to teach you to suck eggs, but:
on a pc.....
I clicked on the link
it brought up the photo in a google image display
I clicked on the image and it centred it
I right clicked on the image and selected 'save image as' and I saved it to the desktop
I posted a reply(this reply) and using the attachments button below this box selected 'add files' and selected the jpg file I'd saved to the desktop
selected the place inline button and submitted the post

Ok, It seems to me to do what Mike did you need to:
1. Go to the page:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/TkujJFkLQcEarBvq8
2. Single click on the image to open it as this (but without the extra text on the screen) :
Code: Select all
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNjes01ZMtW0hGsTHpR9B0WfYNJ_sumhy9_mkjho0LgfPVg6_D9R7Y46evxXgSrSg/photo/AF1QipMslpIHmmMQPm2jepjZELOPT3cQnmOzQShlODoq?key=eE1kbjN1WXRUTXJmOXFDRnEzWVZzSHFEelctZWR3
3. Right click on that image and copy image link and that gives
Code: Select all
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AL9nZEWT5NlJsMnJJenTCO7K9lw6TG2GLZ3qD7hpp8qdBJshNm72YkgUeBMxd6CpbYoaDTMRgg9T3S_jhdbSgWy71fZLXyR_riomn3wb6Fju1vVZpS8N0EZVTG9kJHoL24qPUeuyYoBz4Bsyifb6YAqLDf_F=w795-h1059-no?authuser=0
And the above link can be inserted in img tags to give
