got it chaps, many thanks
I just tried opera and there was not even an icon.
I turned off the block ads switch and the link appeared.
with firefox I have ghostery turned on but there was no difference when I turned ghostery off and a refresh....go figure.
a closing anecdote..
the gizmos look very similar(in function) to a circuit I cooked up in my last house in lincs..
I took up the previous owners chicken yard and laid half an acre of lawn .
about 2 weeks after the first mow a mole arrived...mmm..
I duly caught him, put him in a bucket of earth and transported him about 2 miles away and left him in a set aside field.
about 2 days later another mole appeared...so I asked around and all the local country folk said ultrasonics is the answer to moles.
so I built the ultrasonic circuit, 555 and piezo if I remember and laid it in one of the tunnels.....
oh yeah......
I kid you not....I took 14 moles out of that lawn and re-located them....
it's not the answer to moles....
if the cat continues to bug me I will try out a variation of my mouse trap...motion detector and ultrasonic beep.
A while back cat's kept crapping on my lawn and I googled it and put a few half filled tesco water bottles on the lawn...seemed to do the trick...I have a half filled tesco water bottle in the work room but that hasn't deterred this cat from spraying.
