#1 O netics

Post by andrew Ivimey »

All this talk about Lundahls.... I have a spare pair of 1660s interstages and two pairs of Onetics output trafos all the way from Chicago.

One pair of push pulls for 2a3, 300bs and one SE pair for 2a3, 300bs nominally. If I remember the secondaries are 4 ohm up to 32 ohm so loads of possibilities!

I'm never going to get round using them for several reasons - oh regrets, I have a few etc etc

Any interest?

Oh alright.... Washington not Chicago.

In my 'quest for the best' Bud Purvine said he was happy to sell me the very very expensive or indeed the very expensive but the expensive transformers were more than totally brilliant and I wouldn't be able to hear the difference - (strange sales talk eh!)

I bought the expensive ones - for SE and the PP amps. If you remember the Amity? Superb but really needs more gain at the input stage. Adding a stage ( by me) and the magic disappeared.
