#1 FS - Mission 774 tonearm

Post by vinylnvalves »

Up for sale is a “project” tonearm, that realistically not going to do anything with, as with my new Anna tonearm not currently seeing a need to play.
The main body of the tonearm is in good cosmetic and functional condition. It’s missing the red 4 pin socket, and the paddles to go in the damping trough. It comes with a standard weight and a heavy weight, the damper hasn’t sagged - so the counter weight sits square to the arm.
The arm tube has challenges, it’s missing the cosmetic end cap on the head shell, and one of the 2.5mm threaded holes is damaged. It needs rewiring too. I was going to drill out the cartridge mounting holes as cartridges with threaded features now.
I believe the red cable connectors are like like hens teeth to get hold of, I found that std 2.5mm header connectors fit, which I will include.
I was going to make a longer arm tube, from carbon fibre tube, 8mm fits perfectly into the socket, I will include this tube.

Will come in the original box, minus the lid.

I am looking for £120 posted to you. I know you can get a new arm tube from XTC off eBay - for around £120 for a 12” one. Good condition arms sell for around £275-£300, so you shouldn’t lose money, if you did it up.

Indeed.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Very true! Hope you like it…

If you find you don’t need the counterweight mass ring, let me know. I’ve been looking for one to balance out my ally, bodied DL103.
