#1 I need a project of some sort

Post by Ant »

I need a project of some sort to do for myself. Problem is im happy enough with the system as it is.

I have tt's coming out of my ears so theres not much point doing that although i do have a spare bog stock lenco sat doing nothing.

Happy enough with the speakers, happy enough with the cd and i dont have any streaming so a dac isnt necessary. Happy with the b1 and f5

Happy enough with the cole phono and the benedict audio phono, i think id be hard pressed to make something better than the cole is

The only thing i can think of doing is an uber skeletal lenco build that has practically no plinth at all. Just to see if it could be done

Thoughts?

The project on the Lenco does sound intriguing.

A zero offset tone arm. http://www.vivaudiolab.com/Rigid_Float.html Have this on my list - however I don’t have the time, ferrofluid bearings are interesting and easy to do. There’s a paper which discounts all the tonearm alignments, I haven’t decided if it’s all sales b**locks or something we should take seriously. Cannot find the paper but it’s summarised well here...http://v2.stereotimes.com/post/viv-lab-rigid-tonearm/

I refer you to my previous answer!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

To quote DTB, "You can't have too many amps!" :D

The sort of thing that would interest me is finding an old amp design and seeing if I can build it - possibly with improvements ...
