yesterday I switched the heater on in the workroom and a couple of minutes later there was a large flash and a loud crack. I visibly jumped, v.scary. The heater carried on working. On inspection there are 2 small black marks on the grill. I'm wondering if a bit of dust got on the element as there is much sawdust in the workroom at times.

I couldn't find anything on the internet about such occurrances so I wondered if anybody here had any experience.

I haven't measured the consumption of the unit yet but I do feel a bit nervous about using it.
