Single-Ended Pentode Redux

Was bored the other day so I boosted the E-Linear amp by reverting to a cap input supply and making a few circuit mods.
It puts out around 9W now and connected to the Mission speakers, it sounds good. BUT...it certainly ain't got the slam or authority of the SS amp, so that's it, no revelations I'm afraid. Needless to say, the SS amp stays.

Anyway, it does validate the decision to stop all this nonsense and just enjoy the music. For the sake of completeness, here's the final hurrah.
