He says it's not standard, but he found the tweeter too much which is why he added it in. From memory the measurements looked pretty good.
Do yours have the variable resistor?

I wondered if that might be the case, I seem to remember Vic mentioning somewhere on his website that he found the tweeters a bit too much.
I don’t have variable resisters on mine but I do have a Magic Twin across each speaker input.

This is the averaged response we got. This is with the resistor in place and with the variable up at max-

What's a Magic Twin?

I did manage to find the earlier posts regarding Mark’s measurements etc. thanks. Very interesting.
I’m assuming the variables you refer to are on the tweeter and when set at max give you the 18 ohms you stated earlier?
The Magic Twins are from Bastanis and I think they are possibly rebranded Bybee bullets. They came with my speakers when I purchased them from the original owner.

Yes, I run the variable resistor wide open, so just the 18 ohm in series. I should really take the variable out as the level seems right.
It explains Vic's surprise at me running the tweeter fully up, he didn't know mine had the resistor in series.

Thanks Ali, I understand now.
