#1 Crittall highlight conservatory problem.
At the back of my bungalow there is a Crittall Highlight aluminium frame conservatory.
Conservatory sounds posh, it's more like a de-luxe greenhouse. Mike H will know because he had one at his old house.
The glass is held in by W clips, which are easy to obtain, but I can't find any reference to the plastic trim that closes the aperture between the glass and frame. It is hard plastic, and nearly a square U shape (trough ?), and one edge fits between the W clip and the glass.
Anyone know what it's called, or where to get some ?
Lots of places seem to do bits for Crittall greenhouses, but not the Highlite.

Crittall stopped making those conservatories over 40 years ago, and they don't want to know about parts, unfortunately. Shame, as the factories were in Braintree, Witham and Silver End, not too far from me.
I've found since Googling that many people have tried, and failed to find a replacement. BUT I've not given up yet.

I'm going to order a sample piece of this, and see what I can do with it.

I am also trying to renovate an old Crittall Highlight conservatory and wondered if you had any joy in sourcing suitable seals?
If so, I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks in anticipation, Richard.

Do you any dimensions for this trim? Does it have to exactly as the current trim or would one of the many silicone rubber trims for other glasshouses do?

Personally, I searched for days looking at every sort of glass trim known to mankind and I could not find anything the same.
I got a sample of something I thought might do, but it was not to be.
There seem to be many people searching for this trim.

I think ours has been demolished, as the builder guy put an extension on the back, where it was.

Mine are shaped thin semi hard plastic.
One side fits under the metal glazing fasteners and the shaped part tucks into the frame so hiding the edge and the glass fixing clips.

Oh I remember. Like, imagine a 'D' cross section, then split down the middle, leaving half a flat and half a curve. I think some of ours fell out, never bothered trying to get them back in cos such a PITA.
