20's a good compromise I reckon (based on no actual experience)

James's are 15mm, for ref.

This has got me thinking that I ought to get some perspex sub-panels for mine. The final iteration involved bodging the front panels to go from an 8" driver to two 4.5" drivers, so I'm not getting the full benefit of the perspex in the upper mids and low treble.
I don't fancy doing the whole front panel again, not just yet, anyway !

Ah okay, I though they were 20mm too. Are you also using 20mm Mark or are you getting away with 15mm as they're just the front baffle?

I used 20mm.

I designed for 20mm and the only reason I used 15mm in the end was that this was the thickest perspex that the baffle maker could bend and guarantee no stress marks... 20mm is audibly better than 15mm but not by a lot - it sounds a little more open in the upper bass and midrange to my ears on a flat baffle that I tried as a test...

I commented to Nick at the time that I thought they were "fast as f***", I'll stand by that that, but as Ali said they ain't light

Good grief, I never expected to see any of those on the open market... I can't remember how many Jon did / had done but it wasn't all that many.
