After being run off their feet making human barriers at checkouts, the perspex crafters found a dusty old loudspeaker project in the back that theyd long forgoten all about?

Will be interesting to hear these on the end of £130k worth of Kondo amplification.

Maybe a touch for the source :D

It's hard to imagine how you would spend even a 10th of that building an amp.

Maybe they are for people who value exclusivity and snob value over sound quality per se ? :)

Dave I was going to say something similar to Nick but on reflection he's said it...

but

fwiw as long as you measure sound quality in pound notes I'm sure there will always be somebody to question your validity....

I don't measure sound quality in pound notes, a skoda does the same job as a ferrari, gets you from A to B.

A £100,000 amplifier does the same job as a £50 vintage Pioneer A400 (which I am currently listening to in the ship) it makes a sound.

As I own the £100,000 amplifiers I was merely stating it will be good to hear them powering Nick's speakers.

Perhaps I should edit the post and leave the price out if it bothers people.

I’m sure it deosnt bother people , you make your choices in life and you spend what that bestows upon you .

Of all the forums I read , this one to my mind is full of people who are content with life and like making hifi . I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want hifi jewellery .

As for the price , leave it in your post it reminds people what kind of person you are and your prices inflated .

The question is not it if it does the job as in your Ferrari scofa comparison but how well it does it. A Ferrari will do several things a scoda won't so it's a flawed argument.

I don't know many Elderly Gentlemen Skoda Owners with a 22 Year Oldish Female Passenger Companion at their side, is that possibly one of the attributes available from the Ferrari  .

Not sure thats an attribute of the Ferrari rather the ability to own one.

Not that it matters, but I will disagree. If I sold my house I could probably afford a Portofino M (and a couple of years servicing). I am sure the car on its own would not have the same effect as someone who could buy it out of loose change. I suspect the 22 year old in question will do a few more background checks.

I'd probably go for the Skoda and the 22 year olds Grandmother.

To keep it on topic, those perspex frames look great. :)
