Thought it might be safe now to show a (non-gory!) pix of the feet, this then is just about 3 months to the day after the 'op' ... looks like the nails are still there don't it? But that's an illusion ... or rather the flesh beneath has kept the same shape. I'm told it will disappear with time.

Still not advanced to putting on shoes or boots yet – and really need to get out for some exercise.

Get some sports sandals Mike, I use them all the time around the house anyway. That'll get you started.

Sandals are good. :)

Don't think I've ever used sports sandals.

Cheap enough for indoor use.

Yikes. :D

I'd prefer something to cover and protect the toes actually. I've already dropped things on them a couple of times, fortunately missing the big toes.

The slippers work fine for pottering about indoors and outside, but I want to use walking boots again. :)

I've just had a phone call from the Royal Papworth hospital, and they have (at last) managed to get me a humidifier for my CPAP machine. :D

Up till now I've been getting a very dry mouth/throat at night, so this device should ameliorate the situation.

Sleep apnoea - yes Mike.

Seems it won't make me croak it, but it disrupts my sleep pattern which has a negative effect on my health and well being.

Not as much as a brain bleed though.

I've decided to try and stop using sugar in my hot drinks.

I hope I can last longer than last time I tried.

I gave it up years ago Phil. You soon get used to it. I can now detect one part in a million of sugar in a drink. (OK slight exaggeration) but YEEEUGH!

Yep, same here. Sugar is barely used in our house nowadays - I can't remember when the bag of demerara in the cupboard was purchased it was so long ago!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Whover fitted you’re laminate floor Mike didn’t match up the pretend grain. Lol.

My big toes nails look worse than yours must have when you had them. But Im hanging on to them as long as I can. At present Im buying time by soaking my feet in bicarbonate of soda 1/2 an hour each morning before work.
