Glad to help out Ray, and many thanks for the thoughtful gift of the 6 bottles of Somersets finest cider. This really was not expected and much appreciated. Looking forward to following your progress of the build.

Cheers Colin, I will look forward to following your progress through the cider! Enjoy.

After yesterday's drive I'm taking it easy today, an extra hour in bed this morning and listening to the Valve DAC until just now. Unfortuately the larder and fridge are looking rather bare so it looks like my R&R are over...

I'll start work on the SLOBs next weekend.

I started glueing up the panels for the base (bass) section of the SLOB today.

Slotting together nicely Ray.
The CNC machining does make the build so much easier and quicker.

Yep, and it helps to use the other panels not being glued as a jig to keep everything aligned.

BTW, how was the cider Colin?

I've ordered the hardware for mounting the bass driver units so I should be able to get the rest glued up next weekend and with a bit of luck I won't have the stop/start issues because of the heavy showers we've been having today.

Very good Ray. I'm not really a cider drinker, prefer a real ale, but that Shippy's brew was rather quaffable. Particularly liked the cloudy one that reminded us of when last we visited Chedder Gorge and bought some local scrumpy to take home. Lynn loved it to, but we cannot find anywhere local that sells Shippy Cider. Will have to go online and see if we can buy a case or two and have it delivered.

Talking of Sheppey’s Cider, has anyone heard from Stuart Dean lately? He was (possibly still is) Sheppey’s maintenance engineer, and is a member here. Lovely bloke.

I think I saw his name as a forum visitor a while ago.

I agree with Shane, Stuart seemed to me a thoroughly nice chap, and very generous. :)

Cheers Mark. No, that's just a clamp.
