#1 Good DVD player for CDs

Post by pre65 »

Hi-i need to get a DVD player, and it would be good to get one that is also very good with CD replay.

I have seen a Toshiba SD-900E on e-bay (from sydtoro !! Ianm2 as is) that seems a bargain.

Has anyone any experience with this model ??

What about the Pioneer DV575 like mine?
Good as a transport too, especially after fitting a BNC socket.
Much to learn there is.

Hi Al-i thought perhaps that something a bit more modern might have usurped the Pioneer by now.

Any other suggestions from the silent masses ?

I also thought one that would play DVD-Audio and SACD as well would be more "future proof" !

The Pioneer does play DVD Audio and SACD, but i'm not sure that these "formats" are the future. :)

Why not get a cheap modern DVD then look at a DAC for CD like Al is using, or one of the several other DIY dacs that are about?
