#1 P-P output transformers.

Post by pre65 »

What valves might PP output transformers with a primary impedance of 4K be used with ?

Thanks to you both. Not a lot of use to me then. :(

I saw a pair of OPT on Ebay and wondered how I might use them. Not really interested in multiple EL84 or EL34.

I suppose 6K or 8K are more useful ?

6K are really useful all rounders.
They'll allow you to use all of the common output pentodes.

Get Bud to make you a pair of 'Level 1' s before it's too late ( he's retiring ) . Those won't be expensive.

I have a feeling that what you consider "not expensive" is different to my view.[

Maybe - but the ones I got for Paul ( and used ) in 2003 were around £120 a pair so the same price as basic Lundahl or James. They were superb.
