#1 Photo Record of Meets
A place to reference photographs of our meets. I'll edit this post whenever there's an update so the list is always in the first post. It might be prudent to minimise "noise" on this thread?

Looks like I can't edit the first post (presumably one of Nick's "enhancement" mods) but maybe Nick can edit the first post with a link to this post? (If he can be bothered - sorry don't mean to create work for you Nick.)
So I've been completely rubbish at keeping up to date with records of our meets, but as I put this last one straight in to a blog I can link it from the off
.

Okay, I have probably 1000 or more photos from our meets over the last 10 years or so. I'd really like to get them all posted up on blogs for posterity but I can't see it happening any time soon, but in the meantime I found a photo of Jono Noble's 45 amp (those that were there will remember) from Eggy on 4th June 2005! It seemed too good not to post it, so here it is
And for a Brucey-bonus here's Paul's 212 amp from the same meet. (The spirit of Eggborough for you Mark
)

Nice one !
That's just the output stage of Paul's 212 amp btw !
The Jono amp, I always had it in mind it was ECC40>Da>45 , but it doesn't look like there are any Da's there, it must have been another driver valve.

Look like the 212s are being driven by MH4s into globe PX25s.IslandPink wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:20 am Nice one !

Terrifying considering the value of PX25s these days.

Before anything can be improved, it needs to be measured first.

I think Paul lost a px25 travelling to Owston once, which I think put him off using them
Which is a shame as Paul built some nice se amps in the early days
Nice to see those old pics Simon
Jonos amp was rather good, he chose some nice sounding valves the early ecc's always sound nice and globe 45's, although the bottom end was not so deep it emphasised the mids nicely
That was an amp in a suitcase as remember?

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Yes it had to fit in his suitcase to go on the plane with him.
Still remember how good that sounded on James' Quasars.

Thanks Ali yes I thought it was a flight case amp...
Yes it was a stand out amp on the day.. vintage valves ?

Okay, I've put all the photos from the Eggfest above on one page for a wander down memory lane. I'm hazy on a lot of the details now - if anyone can fill in any gaps I'll update it.

Yes, it was 76 to 45, tx coupled to 211. Choke input supply on 211, shunt reg on driver stage.A closer view of Nick's 211 amp. It looks like it might be just an output stage, so perhaps the amp in the previous photo are pre and driver stages for this amp?

I thought Peter and Shane came to the one at the Pub next to the American diner on the A1. Probably a year after that one ?
