Yups, I had a look to our-Simon. Duets were a replacement option but I think I'd really miss the Touchy Screen-ness of the erm... Touch.

Meh, I'm gonna build and then stand in front of a bottom-kicking machine and set it to 'Max'! That'll learn me...

Precisely!

Only with bigger boots and more of them.

Think 'Ass-kicker Pro' Model.

Dave the bass wrote:Thanks Izzy Stephen. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet sometime and get another Touch unless some other way of doing Hi-Res using LMS comes up. We've invested heavily into LMs...We've got 2 SB Radio's and 2 (sorry 1....*sniffs again* ) Touch's plus a Controller thats used for stream music down to the shed or into the garden

I wont/can't pay that sorta dosh that the US seller wants though rest assured Greg.

Anyone got any 'spares' knocking about?

Unless you are using TinySC or a USB DAC then the SB Classic is just as good and can be tweaked to good effect, however, is doesn't play HiRes Stuff...

Another thought, try contacting Logitech Support, tell 'em whats gone wrong and see if they can replace it.

There are a number of second hand ones available on ebay now, get bidding!

Thanks our-Neal, others in similar situations have contacted Logitech but they have none in stock to replace the faulty Touch's with and only offer a refund if it's within warranty. Mine was an ex-demo jobbie from Richer Sounds.

Back to reality...has anybody here tried the sonos method....I'm not really clued in on the current stuff so I'm not sure of the capabilities but there was some talk of sonos clients being controlled by tablets or phones....would this offer an alternative to touch.......

I still can't see the big picture regarding logitech's decision to scrap squeeze....

Howsabout.... Hi res out of my Laptop? External USB DAC. Squeezeplay gets me into the music library on my VB.

 VB has an inbuilt player. Move VB to Project room, build USB DAC, stream direct from VB -> USB DAC -> current project amp?

Oooo.

DTB

PS. Sorry, VB = VortexBox

Howzabout M2Tech HiFace2 out of USB on laptop, coax from HiFace2 to coax S/PDIF on external DAC?

Handles 24/192 files easily, provided of course that yer DAC is up to it too ;)

Sounds to me like someone with a talent for these things should build and market a SBT replacement.... just saying...
