When steve called this week he left me a couple of his playlists on cd, been playing those these last few nights and have really enjoyed them

Especially the Bowie track, that is one of my favourites ( unwashed and slightly dazed from space oddity)
Forgot how good it is
thanks
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Tangerine Dream -The Virgin Years 1977-1983
16/44.1 ripped to FLAC. Oh, for a high-res release. But even the redbook sounds rather good.

Doc at the ... has arrived.. I've seldom seen a cd in such an egregious state but.....dB power amp has just finished ripping it. Might get s decent lisssn tomorrow cos an evening of heavy drinking - couple of bottles of Brouilly have dropped through the door as a successful cochlear implantee wants to show her gratitude and Anna is cooking. Deep Joy!

Thomas Dolby - the flat earth.

I very nearly bought a second hand copy from amazon after hearing the track 'I scare myself' on paradise......Luckily I checked my library and realised I alread had a copy.

I remember buying it in the early 80s and being blown away at the time...lp12, quad, 104abs...not realising I was listening to the flat earth on flat earth equipment...go figure..snigger

Elvis Costello & The Attractions - This Year’s Model.
This is on the original Radar vinyl mastered by ‘Porky’ being tracked by an AT VM95CB priced at £30 ( really pushed the boat out there.)

It was played to death back in 1978 on an HMV radiogram with BSR groove destroyer and ceramic cartridge tracking at 5gm.
Music? fab. Sound quality? Fooking hell this LP is totally knackered.
I don’t care.
Sgt. Baker started talkin’ with a Bullhorn in his hand.
