Watching and listening.

The Beiderbecke trilogy.

I'm on the first part, The Beiderbecke Affair at the moment. I've got it on DVD, but watching on ITV X at the moment. The soundtrack is quite good. :)

You've just reminded me that i have the same collection. I can't remember how far i got through, but that first series, at least, is a lovely piece of work that sticks in the memory. It's partly the cast, partly the dialogue, partly the real on-location filming in Leeds. Very special.

Dnipro Opera Company/Ukrainian National Opera production of Carmen.

Got the flag out and sang their national anthem at the end:

Good list.

Class ! - but my brain is whirring away thinking where JM's track 'Don't want to know' comes from. I must go off and check.

Thanks again, its from Solid Air, Side 1 track 3. Its one of my Funeral tracks too (and got played at our Wedding). He re-recorded it a few times when he started 'revisiting his back catalogue' too.

Bah! Me too! No Gong either. Britney Spears track 'Toxic' was a bit outside the Caroline playlist area too, meh.

I must dig solid air out and reacquaint myself with the tunes.

Seeing Barbara Flynn in Beyond Paradise was a bit of a jolt. Sometimes I forget that time passes at the same rate for all of us. (Cue pedantic physicists…)
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
