It's completed, whehey! Its coming to Owster's. Dunno if it's gonna fit in the Kent Massive's Audio-Mobile though? It takes up the most surface area of any other amp I've ever built. <proud smiley>

I played with 'T40' (as opposed to 'TZ40') this morning in the same amp. It's different of course. It takes a lot less grid bias for a start and I measured a drop in grid current too.

Am I right in thinking that in A2 cathode current = anode current + grid current?

Yes you are Dave.

The electrons leave the cathode by attraction to the more positive elements. When grid goes positive this is one, anode is another. Grid current + anode current = Cathode current.
