Using laptop as source.

I think we all know by now what this section is for.

Ta Ray, got it playing and looking at the file of my choice. Just trying to get Bubble PnP on the Android Tablet to 'see' JRiver on the Laptop at the moment. Failing.

Haven't you got some settings to make the server announce itself on the network to do first?

10/10! Apple for Mr Mangler.

Yeah, I hadn't allowed JRiver to be seen on the network. As soon as I has the Tablet running Bubble let me select JRiver's newly found library and hey Tesco, jobs a good un. RC via Tablet.

Can't get JRiver to output via M-Audio Transit at the mo. Working on it.

Have you got WASAPI or ASIO output options when you select your output device?
It's similar to Foobar in that respect.

Under Tools/Options/Audio menu you can set up your audio device.

You may need to enable dlna under Tools/Optons/Media Network to allow BubbleUPnP to see JRMC, there are sub options for specifying server, renderer, control point.

Give me a shout if I can help at all.

Ta Chris n Ray, I had to go into W7 Audio Device Manager and set the M-Audio DAC as default, no amount of twiddling in JRMC would output through the DAC otherwise.

M-Audio USB drivers show (ASIO) in brackets Chris.

I've got a couple of other USB DACs to work with but the 24/96 Transit seems to be OK for now.

A definite step forward then?

There are some interesting features in JRMC when you get more familiar; one of which indicates whether the music is being passed through 'untouched' (or how it is being touched). The support forum is quite good too.

How does it sound?

A step forward in that I've got RC via Tablet and the ability to play Hi Res out of USB yeah which is one step over Squeezeplay but setting up the audio configuration is still a bit tweaky at the mo. In the Menu you pointed me at I have to select Default Audio device to get everything working (I think!). I have these options....(inc WASAPI now too Chris, it just appeared!!!)..

With W7 go with the WASAPI drivers wherever possible.
I have a piece of hardware that hasn't had WASAPI drivers written for it, but it does have ASIO drivers, and consequently I use the device with ASIO.

Yes, I would try the WASAPI option first.

Dunno what Android device you've got Mr Bass but I've been looking at the usbaudioplayer pro website (it's the player I mentioned on page 2 of this thread) trying to check for compatibility; I think I noticed your Transit DAC on the 'doesn't work' list? Shame, cos otherwise you wouldn't even need the laptop, just play hi-res straight from the Android device to the DAC via optimised USB interface. Reviews for sound quality are very positive, less so for the UI.
