#1 Marantz CD48 mkII - broken drawer

Hi all
a mate has one of these and is reluctant to buy a new player. He's been told by Graham's HiFi that the drawer mech can't be fixed (it rquires what I assume to be a white plastic cog, based on the description given). Anyone know whether these are available, or whether the entire drawer mech can be found nowadays?
Thanks
Adrian

Hi Adrian, it depends what transport that particular player has.
If it's the same as a CD-75 mk 1 I may be able to help.
EDIT
The CD48 has a cdm 12.1 which is different to the spare bits I have.
PS The CD48 was nothing special so perhaps not worth spending a lot on ?
Here is a cheapie on e-bay

Phil's right according to this list I found:
http://vasiltech.nm.ru/files/cd-players ... nsport.htm
... the CD-48 uses Philips CDM12.1, found a cog and belt for it here:

PS the gear disintegrates because of the grease, do not grease the new one!

OOpps. CD42 Mk11 (nor CD48). CDM-4/19 transport with a dodgy orange cog. Can't be replaced as far as I can see from the www.
Thanks
for the help/suggestions

This list may help to identify other players with the same transport.

I still don't think it's worth buggering about with.

I got one as a spare, the wheel is 43mm diameter? 10 teeth.
