#1 Yorkshire Gang: Date for your Diary

Post by SimonC »

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to host a Yorkshire get together on Sunday 24th Feb next year.

I know its a way off, but there's a few reasons for this...the main ones being I need some time (and xmas money) to finally get my 6C33 together, plus its my birthday that week.

Hopefully if there's enough interest I can host a full days fun for everyone who wants to come. There's enough space to have 2 separate rooms on the go if needed.

More info etc. nearer the time.

Regards

Simon C

PS: nearly forgot: I'm at Shipley, north side of Bradford.

Edit: Date now fixed as 24th Feb.

Great, I will look forward to it.

Oooo - can I express an interest so long as you don't mind the fact that I am a music lover rather than a tweeker? I am happy to listen to you boys discuss technical stuff, but don't expect me to understand a word. I know what I like when I hear it, but don't get into the whys.

What is it about Yorkshire? It seems only fair that some of you should be relocated in a southerly direction. I would love to come along but its just too far for a day trip.

there used to be a London group which Paul de raymond le clerk Chris Vryonedes Thorsten Nic Wiltshire Thorsten used to meet. I know Thorsten is In China and Chris is often across the pond, but there must be some folk meeting..

Hi Ray,

Every now and then we do something in Bristol. I might think about a day next year. You'd be very welcome to join in and not far from Taunton.

Best wishes,

Greg

Excellent, another date for the diary. Anyone up for a curry on the way home?

i would like to come, sunday is not a good day for me, so would have to leave mid afternoon..

but thanks for the invite..

we could call us the yorkshire audio 'talk' circle and copy them..

would we need a few 'big names' rather than us lot..?

mind you.. maybe we have a few big names..
the world famous metronomes,
some 'big' amp builders in nick and paul
scotts following...
and all yorkies..

I would like to come. The curry is a great idea especially if preceeded by some Timmy Taylors. (For non Yorkophiles, just read as, best beer in the world.) :-)

Simon,

put me down on the attendees list, if there's still room. Can you accommodate my Acorn ESLs and gm70's?

Both can be arranged, I've got the fantastically named Fannys Ale House 5 minutes walk in one direction (regular CAMRA award winner, no juke box, no fruit machines, traditional bar piano wedged in the corner & Landlord by the gallon) and the Aagrah HQ 10 minutes in the other for some of the best curry around, but at a price.
For the more adventurous Bradford itself has a good selection of both beer & curry to suit all depth's of pockets.
