I have Sly and the Family Stone on tape and when I play Dance to the Music, you are physically thumped in the chest with the base. It is truly an awsome experience as I have herd them Live and it sounds like they are in the room, with us.......! I have the CD and it is NO comparison to the tape edition. I am imagining that the tubes may have the same effect, overall. that is the only thing that I can imagine that the valves can do to the sound, make it more 'Live", and that isd a good thing!

OK it said 7:12 am so the browser is not in British Summer time. It is actually 8:12 am.

You therefore posted that at 2:37 am for the time we have our lives ruled by.

Bladder time is something different all together. When you start life and then again towards the end, the time which in the middle of the lifespan rules is subordinated to bladder time. But eventually just as at the beginning it becomes, change trousers time.

By which time, it no longer matters whether you have a valve amp or not because you need a conch in your ear to hear the nurse shouting at you to take your medication.

I remember feeling very sad for an old man I met at a party 10 years ago who told me he gave away his Quad II's and Quad 57's when he could no longer hear any benefit from them.

"Informing the Canadian"............Puleez...!

I am in North Carolina, just a little South of Canada.

My apologies as I made an hout mistake on the AM posting as it was actually 2:37 AM in Europe, not 4:00 AM (I think) as we are five hours behind you guys.

Apologise for nothing, it will be viewed as a sign of weakness and they will start circling :-)

I have some fond memories of Charlotte though her name was actually Faye.

Irene is far East of Charlotte. It looks like it is going up the Barrier Islands (Cape Hatteras and North to Kitty Hawk) headed for New York. All we will see here is probably a little bit of wind, tomorrow.
