Bought these on a bit of a whim at HMV today.

They're the sort that wedge right in your ear.

Nice and comfortable, bass is balanced (I've heard ones where the bass is simply too much, so this was refreshing), treble extended, midrange clear etc.

A decent buy, I'm pleased. And sound isolation is the best I've heard.

After having both I prefer the boes in ears although they are like twice the price.

Me use for iPod(s): Sennheiser PX200. They isolate sound when I travel on tube train, fold up neat into case and sound superb. they cost about twenty or thirty quid, as I remember.

Computer: Sennheiser HDR 160 cordless. Mid price range (around £100), very comfortable for long time wear playing PC games, sound good to me though I realise there are more expensive options.

I've never got on with 'in the ear' headphones which my analyst tells me is a cause of some deep childhood trauma caused by watching Hammer Horror films at age 13 and who am I to argue?

So, I'll look like a nerd on the train sporting full size headphones and I don't care
