Yeah, he and Liquorice Locking had some of the 1st Fenders Basses in this country apparently. A fella I used to study with was mates with Jet, he said he was a very interesting bloke. A walking encyclopaedia of early UK Bass-guitar lore. He played baritone guitar/six string guitar too.

First record I ever bought was Diamonds. Still love it.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
