I once had an E30 320i, and still miss it. It was a perfect combination of size, performance, comfort and quality, and it made a gorgeous noise. The only downside was a disconcerting habit of swapping ends unexpectedly in the local Homebase carpark in the rain! Sadly economics dictaed that it had to go in favour of a Citroen AX14, which was loads of fun, but a bit like driving aroound in a tupperware lunchbox.
Give me a nice E30 325i cabrio and I'd be happy for life.

I still miss my 1985 520i. It was 8 years old when I got it and 18 when it went to car heaven. Apart from fuel it cost me next to nothing, and I could still put a spanner on it myself if I needed to.
I still haven't got used to front wheel drive really, though it would have been awful this winter. Anything more than a dusting of snow and it was virtually unmanageable.

Now I admit this is not a Reliant, but according to the link it was built by them !Mike H wrote:Reliant?pre65 wrote:Sometimes one can be pleasantly surprised when trying a brand that would have previously been unthinkable.
.

Would love one myself.

That was my point, it was aimed directly at me, and the door was the only thing in the way.shane wrote:Thank god for side impact bars!

Looks fine on t'other side. Bit of a problem driving though, the throttle is stuck down by the bent bulkhead. Maybe I could sell it as a Toyota.
