Actually, I must confess, I was actually searching for tractors, and came across drain cleaning by accident.

It appears that bullying staff and lying to Parliament and the public are acceptable behaviours whereas viewing porn is not, though this took some deliberation.

but said there were some "bad apples" who had to face consequences.
One of my pet hates is the misunderstanding of the "bad apple", A bad apple in a barrel of apples gives off gases that cause all the apples to become bad. The analogy means exactly the opposite of what people think when they use it.

A quiz clue that has stumped Jean and myself.

The answer is a town, city or country anywhere in the world, real or fictional. 4 letters.

"51 follows graduate"

I did try to see the significance of "51", the nearest I came was it's the international dialling code for Peru.

Roman numerals for 51 are 'LI'
'MA' is short for Graduate.

So the answer is LIMA i.e. capital city of PERU

Just noted the 51 follows the graduate so I need to go back to school.

So, two contenders. :?

BA and MA are both degrees, but as I understand things one has to have a BA to take the MA course. So percentage wise BA would be more common ?

I would say it depends on how you want to consider "follows" in the question. It could be follows graduate as in post- grad so MA would be more likely.

Nah. The "follows" is for the "51", IE it's after the ba/ma. Standard crossword syntax.
