Seems a good way to collect email addresses :-)

my bandsaw bit me today..the first time he's done that..

I guess it's all part of the cutting, drilling, filing, bleeding thing

all is good thanks..

little tinker wanted my right hand index finger but I was just quick enough to thwart him and got away with a neat slice half way up my finger nail...

I have, however, discovered that I can cut 6mm nylon sheet with a 6tpi with some curving to get some tricky shapes.

Was that because of your sight problem ?

Anyway, hope you heal quickly. :)

possibly, but there is really no excuse for carelessness when dancing with the bandsaw.

I cut Delrin of various thicknesses with my jigsaw with no burning/melting.

I usually use a fairly coarse wood-cutting blade and not too fast. For intricate shapes I have a not very deep blade, does tight curves nicely.

Neither of my hands are sharp enough to cut acrilic.

that was what surpriised me the most. it cuts about the same pressure as 6mm ply and leaves a bit of feather edge which is easy to rub off with a file or emery block. I was fully expecting it to clog the band and get sticky, but not a bit of it......perfectly clean cut.

I've elaborated in the mofo thread, with sexy pics.
