Hi Alex

You may not know I lived in Wickhambrook West Suffolk for nearly 20 years. And also on my bench is an original grey, grease bearing 301......

Regards

Dave

Yes, quite close, and before that Glemsford, even closer! And before that in Clare.

It was 48 Egremont Street Glemsford.

I used to drink in the Bell and the Cock in Clare, and the Cheery Tree in Stradishall when Sedge ran it.

I come from Egremont! Didn't know it was famous enough (or thought of enough) to have a road named after it.

An Egremont Russet is one of my favourite apples. I have a cordon in the garden.

I don't think they come from West Cumbria - only flourescent orange or green ones. We are world famous for having a Crab [apple] fair though which includes shinning a greasy pole, pipe smoking competition and culminates with gurning - I bet you wondered where you'd seen me before but I look different with my teeth in.

I've attached a pic of my winning pose (but you could mistake me for Phil)

Bit late, but what part of the Orwell do you hail from, if at all?

1984 George Street I suspect. Next to the petting zoo.
