#1 Your 100 best albums!

Post by andrew Ivimey »

Maplin's have a special deal at the moment for a 64G USB stick. (£29.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! inc postage and packing) So here's an opportunity that makes desert island disks look mean and paltry.

100 flac albums - Does anyone really need more?
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Maybe not.
I ripped all the CDs that i play fairly regularly, and i used about 40gb. Later i added the other CDs and it still doesn't fill a 120gb drive.

I was surprised to discover that 20% of our CD collection is stuff i would never want to listen to. ie. Skip fodder.
Much to learn there is.

...but....but... if you limit yourself to 100 Bestestestest albums ever how are you ever going to hear new music?

Good new music IS still being made y'know :-)

S'true!

Admittedly you do have to wade through a lot of dross to find it. Thats the downside of the IT revolution and the interwebs innit... I mean any foole with a geetar and a song can post himself on yootoob and get a record contract....why, only the other day I saw some loser with an acoustic singing laments to his 3 fave domestic appliances...derrr... I mean... What hope has 'proper' music got of ever cutting through? Eh? Eh? :)

I have heard at least one of those "appliance" songs, got a personal audition some time back. :)

Worthy of a wider audience I would say.

Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.
