Although purlely accidental (the weight wasnt a design criteria) my lenco weights somewhere around 75 kilo's
2 people can just about move it.
Luckily it is made in 2 layers so once split 2 people can move it ok-ish.
I am working on a far lighter design though

The two most effective things I changed were the rectifier diodes on both boards and the bipolar electrolytics on the DAC/output PCB.pre65 wrote:Are there any "simple" mods, or does anything worthwhile involve changing chips ?
A big improvement for only a few pounds spent.

Hello BTW
Wotcher Phil
My ex-wife and one of three daughters live in Frome and ex-bro-in-law lives in Babcary.
I think both of those places are in Somerset. There's a thing eh?

Frome is not that close to where I live but I work fairly close, in Midsomer Norton. I have only been to Frome a few times, to visit a nice little telescope shop there. Astronomy is another hobby of mine.
