#1 ...From Gloucester

Post by docfoster »

Hi,

New to Audio-talk. Seems nice here.

Music-wise I like jazz, female vox, quality hip-hop and 60s & 70s pop.

System-wise it's a Pioneer PL-71 with Decca Super Gold and a Sony BDP into a MuFi Dac.
Amplifiers, cables and speakers are all NVA.

Looking forward to my time on the forum.

Hi Ben

Welcome aboard.

Is a BDP a blue ray disc player ?

Don't know anything about them, can they only play blue ray discs ?

Yes. BDP = Bluray Disc Player.
They play CDs, DVD(video)s and Bluray discs.
In fact in my experience, as transports they play CDs better than do similarly priced CDPs. Why this might be the case? I don't know.
