My mate subscribes to the trade magazine "Osteopath Monthly".

He has a lot of back issues.

When we were newly wedded, Diana went on a course for a week.

I carried my vauxhall viva engine into the bedsit living room stripped it down put new shells on the crank all shells and fitted cords rings had it back in the car before she got home. She never found out.

13 Hamilton Rd Bromley ; scene of crime. About the same time as John Lennon died. Because another bedsit couple new I was alone the lady left the bathroom door open and a girl from work came round.

Never folded, but the sight of that neighbour standing in the bath full frontal was tough to resist. I didnt fail my wife though.

Now shes getting discharged from hospital today, me and Sam are going for her after two.

Back in the late sixties I used to do a lot of dinghy sailing with a mate who had Hornet, which was a very rapid 18 footer with trapeze etc. while his parents were away on holiday we shifted all the furniture out of their 20 foot sitting room, carried the boat in, stripped the paint off and repainted it. Despite some suspicious dings in the wall they never said anything.

When I was at uni, we had some very nice new halls of residence built - like a load of little flats with maybe 6 bedrooms, a small kitchen and sitting room etc. They were lovely, immaculate and painted very WHITE.

One of my mates, Dave G., had a Hillman Imp. A shitty little car. He managed to get the (aluminium) engine up into his lovely new room on the 3rd floor and rebuilt it there over a period of a few months. There were boxes of springs & bolts all over the place. Every time someone went in there, we'd quietly add a few bolts, washers and stuff, just to piss him off. Trashed the room completely.

So many stories about that awful car...

When I was about six, my dad took me for a ride just like that little lad. It was great! He sat me on the handlebars of his Vespa scooter, obscuring the speedo, but I later learned he never looked at those.
In the end, it's all physics...

Now there’s a thing. My mate with the Hornet’s Dad was the sales director of the local Routes Group dealer.

Shameabout the Imp. It was almost brilliant.
