Well we both know they seem to sound better on breadboards anyway. Not sure when the putting in boxes crept in.

My right arm/hand (previously dominant ) is useless . It's there only so I look normal when I'm sat down 😉

Thanks to Richard I use perspex . The advantage of this is that you build the amp on a flat piece of perspex and glue in the sides when built . I usually glue 1 side a day.

Patience is another skill I've developed

Ps . I get the perspex cut to size by plastics on line . There very reasonable . As new nva are promoting , you can get any colour . 🤣

Sounding good is better than looking pretty.

Sounding good and being safe enough not to injure/main/kill small animals (incl. children) is a bonus.

Who is online ?

The "who is online" section used to say how many were online, and name the registered users.

It seems not to name the registered users now, is it me or has the facility been withdrawn ?

Yes. And when I’m upstairs on 3’rd floor If Sam has left Roxy our Staffie shecomes straight upstairs to see me. So its a plank of bamboo relay bases screwed to the wood. Connections facing up. But with valves removed I can cut another identical bamboo to fit over the whole area, cut with saw hole cutters so once its layed over the valves plug in again. So not powered up with any exposed voltages. So it’ll be OK.

Anyone tried to download LMS recently? It looks like you can't.

There's something called Lyrion apparently but I dunno.

I have this one
Logitech Media Server Version: 8.5.2 - 1716215514 @ Sun May 26 17:38:24 WEDT 2024

Seems to be the same. I needed to upgrade to run Tidal.

I can upload to my website if you can't find?

Is there not a bit of confusion here. From what I can see, its just a change of name.

from https://lyrion.org/
Lyrion Music Server (formerly Logitech Media Server) is open-source server software which controls a wide range of Squeezebox audio players. Lyrion can stream your local music collection, internet radio stations, and content from many streaming services (with and without subscriptions).
Its perfectly reasonable that a open source project would want to change its name from a commercial entity (Logitech).

I have just removed LMS 8.3.0 from my Ubuntu server where the music is and installed "Lyrion Music Server Version: 9.0.0" and it seems to be happy and indexing the music tree.
