The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Went to an appointment at my health centre today in response to a text I had recieved inviting me for an annual check-up - I just assumed it was the result of becoming eligible for my state pension. The opening sentence from the the medic was "we've called you in to check how your heart condition is doing!" Gulp! I said, 'I don't have a heart condition'; after taking my pulse, BP and reading my records he said "apparently not".
Turns out that one of the office admin staff had checked a box to say I had a heart condition that triggers regular messages. They're now having to review the batch of records to see if some poor bloke who needs a regular heart check isn't getting one.
Hey ho.

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Its a bun fight whether youre writen notes were transferred to computer records. No trace of Dianas hospital admission in a coma for a week in 2010. Doesnt even matter any more shes happily ignorant of it too. She saw a neurologist afterwards when she came round who said “it was youre ms that put you in a coma. But there is nothing from that era in her notes now. A lot of notes didnt get transferred over. Scary !

Feeling much better today and definitely on the mend. Yesterday I felt like I had been hit by a bus, today I feel like I have been hit by Mike Tyson, so that’s an improvement

I speed-read that and thought you felt like you've been hit by a bus driven by Mike Tyson, now thats the specific kinda detail I like!

Thanks Dave
Had a kidney stone that was too big to break up, so they had to cut me open to get it out. X-ray beforehand showed another stone blocking my other kidney, so they had to get that out first. Must have been under for about 6 hours, but everyone was brilliant

Ooooo kidney stone! They did lithotrypsy on me. This was like a laser beam like in Goldfinger but shooting out pulses of horrific power aimed at one if my kidneys. Tanka takka tanka tanka etc. Three sessions got me bleeding in my wee but after three fun sessions it got better. Would I have preferred surgery? Dunno, but cheers to you. It seems I got away with it.

I have red spots on my chest (mainly) which it seems are cherry angiomas. They don't hurt, but are unsightly, not that I usually bare my chest in public.
Today I took delivery of a laser pen that removes such things. I've tried it out on a few lesser cherry angiomas and will see what the lasting results are.
There is a small, but noticeable arc from the tip to body, and a slight smell of burning flesh, but no real pain or discomfort.

How does a laser create an arc?
