An interesting read Greg, looks like a good reason for water companies to increase water costs in the future..

The government then could set a windfall tax on the increased profits.

Then whilst the poorest struggle the government can afford help them for a short while until they and the rest of us get used to paying more !!

It's as much about distribution as it is about quantity....

Too much in the wrong places and too little where it's really needed.

Having said that, the reservoirs here are far from full after a very dry winter ...

On the plus, all my beehives were very active today, bringing in yellow pollen (pussywillow/hazel).
