Bit of a 'catch all' Ali, who knows! Some pundits have said that by now we've all had it one way or another - who cares. There is another variant out there; reportedly very much more contagious/ infectious but a million miles from being a killer unless you're terribly fragile and likely to shuffle off this mortal coil anyway.
I wonder sometimes if we have forgotten just how rotten a cold can be. Flu is deffo killing more folk than Covid right now - the flu jab take up has not been very good this year. I blame witchcraft.
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

I had a nasty bout of flu a few years ago, the kind that makes you realise why it kills so many people. Developed Bronchitis on the back of it and ended up with seven weeks off work. Had to sleep in a chair as I couldn’t lie down without constantly coughing. Far worse than my bout of Covid.

Moral, of course, is NEVER to travel north of Watford.
The marker used to be Watford Gap on the M1, not Watford itself ?
Watford Gap /ˈwɒtfərd ɡæp/ is a low-lying area between two hills, close to the village of Watford, Northamptonshire, England. Engineers from Roman times onwards have found it to be an ideal route for connecting the Midlands with South East England. The A5 road, the West Coast Main Line railway, the M1 motorway and a branch of the Grand Union Canal traverse in parallel a space about 400 metres (1,300 ft) wide. It has been written and spoken of as marking the divide between Northern England and Southern England.

I always thought that the ancient script on old maps of this area was wrongly interpreted .
Previously, I assumed it read "There be Beasties North of Sevenoaks", however closer examination reveals that rather than "Beasties" it should be "Bastards".

Easier on the ear and closer to the truth!
That's OK for you, but what about DtB and Thomas ?

A couple of points of order.
First, the north does not start at Watford Gap. (That's a little bit south of where I live. )
Second, actually we'd be very grateful is the south didn't visit us.
Thank you.
I was going to take ibn Stoffel (he's a Solihull boy) back to his place of birth but the insurance company said he'd most likely be stolen if I did; at the very least he'd be stripped for parts... You know, a kidney here, and LT230 transfer box there...
Someone I follow on yoo-toob a little while ago his other half went to Turkey for a hen night – as you do – came back and gave everyone Covid – well I mean ...
Mine –
Sorry to keep on about the toes.
Did I mention the last check-up was, now 2 weeks ago, 30th Dec... so for the last week or so I've noticed I have been unconsciously as it were walking more normally, which is to say, one foot in front of the other (in the same direction), with more like a normal walking pace, without the foregoing hobbling and shuffling antics. Only 2 tiny scabs were left, now both gone. (Left one disappeared in the shower today.) Yay. I have still not progessed to trying on real shoes yet – can't have too much excitement all at once...
