BBC4 has just helpfully educated me on Christine. I hadn't realised how much she was the brains behind the songwriting.

That surprised me too. I was never a fan of Fleetwood Mac, tbh, post Mr Greenbaum going elsewhere. I do remember seeing Christine P. with Chucken Shack though - brilliant gig. Big Respect to Mrs McVie though.

Respect Due to her, she was committed to the music, hanging in on that roller-coatser of a ride with the band over the years.

She sang well and was a key member. Fleetwood Mac isn’t a thing Id want to hear without her. Apart from listening to dead artists which were all getting kind of used to.

Not quite sure it had to happen now , perhaps the older I get the longer expect people to live .

I played Rumours . The first time somebody who died had played a significant part in my musical history .

Curiously, I've been listening to some Fleetwood Mac over the last fortnight or so, particularly the Live album from 1979/80 - some great songs, to which Christine McVie was, of course, a significant contributor;

Anyway, Johnnie Walker repeated his interview with Christine McVie on his 'Sounds of the 70s' programme on Radio 2 yesterday (tribute starts at around 1:18).

The programme playlist isn't too bad...

When I got it home it only had 1 record . Not sure which sides I've got but it's the one with landslide

I have it as a 24bit 96KHz download, sound is very good for a live album so a reasonable transfer from the original analogue recordings.

Landslide is on disc 1 I believe, first track is 'Monday Morning'.
