I usually go walking on Tuesday & Thursday mornings, but as it's hissing down with rain, with thunder and lightning, I'll not bother today.

Playing indoor bowls this afternoon, so will be dry. :)

PS The lightning map did not appear show what I could see. :?

I heard thunder as I was going to bed last night. Wasn't on the forecast !

This morning the foundations and walls of BedTowers shook and groaned as huge explosions and crackling electric horror ripped and battered the very elements that make up ...

Wonder what it's like in Kiyv - !?

It still raining is on the Shire.

Just got our power back after 4 hours without.

It went off during a thunderstorm. In fact I went to bed about 20:30 because there was nothing to do, but I got up again at 21:30 when the lights came on.

These always happen when it's getting dark! We had an outage Saturday evening I think. Didn't last long fortunately.

Brief stay at a friends' house in Chagford, Devon. Dartmoor and the town in the background having climbed the local tor. Just a lovely bit of the world.

T’other side of the moor from here. Nice place though. There’s a wonderful Aladdin’s Cave of a hardware shop there that’s worth the trip on its own. If you missed that Nick you missed a treat! Not to mention Chagstock which I’ve been meaning to go to for years

You sure it's not Chagfest? :)

I did look at the hardware store in the square. Very eclectic. Proper shop.

TBF, all the shops were pretty good. The farm shop was superb and run by another beekeeper. Lots of interesting, real, shops. Great delis, bakers, bookshops, ironmongers etc. Very genuine farming town. Nice people. Lots of non-chelsea-tractor Landrovers - covered in mud and sometimes with sheep or a sheepdog in the back.

Super pubs too - had dinner at The Globe Inn on Sunday - really excellent and a proper unspoilt pub. The Chagford Inn does excellent food - in fact ALL the pubs were excellent.

Big arts community too. All-round top place.

you're preaching to the converted here. My ex wife lived in Cheriton Fitzpaine for a while before we got married....I was a whisker from buying a house in Okehampton.....I can't imagine how life would have turned out....

Well I can’t vouch for what they get up to in those tents, but it definitely starts off as Chagstock!
