Leak Sandwich Speakers
#1 Leak Sandwich Speakers
I'm tempted to buy a pair of 15ohm Leak Sandwich speakers that are available for a guy down here - they're a bit tatty but seem to be OK otherwise - worth a punt?
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

The ones I had were crap.

Depends on model & condition (as in the engineering rather than cosmetic). They were generally well-engineered examples of their type, so if the drivers are OK & the boxes basically sound, could be worth getting hold of so long as you're not paying too much. They'll never be the last word in HF extension etc., but if they're in acoustically reasonable shape, you should be able to make a few tweaks to improve things a bit, assuming you don't want to restore them to 'period correct' shape.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but stock, they don't particularly appeal to me either. There's some potential there though; I suppose it ultimately comes down to whether you think it's worth the effort for a given situation.

Mine were utter crap!

I think I'll give them a pass then, especially as I already have more than enough projects on my plate.
Thanks for the steer.

The early type with the 13" bass unit.
Lovely!
I prefer them to my red speaker's
I'm a joking!

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number
