#1 Unexpectedly good bits of otherwise unremarkable tunes

Post by shane »

Listening to the recently departed Scott Walker on the way home just now, and in particular to No Regrets. Now, that is anything but an unremarkable tune, but the guitar break sparked a thought. Do you have any favourite bits of any tunes that seem to rise above their settings?

Examples that spring to mind:

Johnny Kidd and the Pirates: keyboard break in Runaway.

The Carpenters: The bit at the end of Goodbye to love.

You get the idea....
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
