Forgive my ignorance. :)

It seems NVA amps can sound "better" than other SS amps because they don't have something that other amp manufacturers do.

What is it that NVA amps don't use ?

If you mean the output inductor, then several amps don;t use them, and some make their use optional. Without a doubt they are a compromise.

I don't know what I mean, that's why I asked the question.

I've not seen any output inductors on DIY SS circuits that I've looked at.

I seem to remember Richard mentioning zobel networks, but they are a resistor and capacitor ?

Yeah, a Zobel would be a series RC network across the terminals. Just stops a very inductive load causing problems at the top end IIRC. Since it's not directly in the high-current signal path, I wouldn't see that as a problem.

You seem to be mixing up your capacitance and inductance :roll:
