#1 Valve delay relays.

Post by pre65 »

For some reason (or other) I was dreaming about valve delay relays last night. :(

I do have two 30 sec octal ones in the valve drawer, but never had the occasion to use them.

After the 30 sec warm up period I presume the contacts "make", so 30 secs then "wham", all on.

The reason I like damper diodes (6D22s) is the delay and the more gradual ramp up to all on.

Anyone here any experience of valve delay relays ? I thought Cressy Snr played with them eons ago. :)

Yes.
I used a thirty second delay relay in the heater circuit of a GZ34.
