Can't help thinking they'd look good with the tweeter in the middle..

All pictures now resolve perfectly on my iPhone. Now I can properly appreciate them!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

But as I understand things that arrangement would only work as a D'Appolito where both the outer larger drivers are Mid-woofer units working equally in tandem. I could be wrong. This is a 2.5 way where the upper 8" driver is crossed over to the tweeter as a mid-woofer and the lower driver is a pure woofer.

Scott may have a better explanation?

Looks great. :) I like the clan name idea too.

There's no technical reason why the drivers couldn't be set out as an MTM, although since this is a 2.5 way, there wouldn't be any advantage, & it would need an increase in enclosure height as in MTMs the listening axis is taken as being on that of the tweeter. I do actually have an MTM on the drawing board as it were, but another time. ;)

Further progress this week with the delivery of the PCB's from China. Must say the quality of the boards is excellent and I have to thank Nick for doing the design layout and ordering of the boards.

The boards have been populated and installed in the cabinets. We are using quality Jantzen air core and iron core inductors and capacitors plus MOX resistors as we have found these to be very good.

Next up is to glue on the front baffles and get them finished for later today when I can hook them up to my new retirement toys i.e. the LongDog P6 Mosfet monobloc amps. Can't wait.

I am pleased how those crossovers have come out, looks like the parts models I built were close enough.
